Northwest Africa 12807 (NWA 12807) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2011 Feb 12 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4) Geochemistry: kamacite Co 0.59±0.09 wt% (0.54-0.67 wt%), Ni 10.6 wt% (7.4-14.3 wt%. Classification: L4, "black chondrite" Specimens: The 1263 g TKW includes a main mass of 915 g. There are 7 sawn slices and ends in addition to the main mass, and 3 polished thin sections (PTS), a total of 1263 g remaining after cutting and sample prep. Dealer sold small additional amounts (some tens of grams (?), unknown, not included in TKW) prior to GCW purchasing all the remainder on 2011 Feb 12. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
