Northwest Africa 12710 (NWA 12710) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2019 Classification: Ureilite History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Zagora, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Flat shaped single brownish stone. Petrography: The meteorite displays a characteristic cumulate texture of about 1 mm sized equigranular olivine and pigeonite crystals. Reduced rims in olivine are abundant. The meteorite contains flaky graphite. Geochemistry: reduced rims in olivine: Fa0.9-7.3; olivine contains 0.76±0.03 wt% Cr2O3 and 0.34±0.03 wt% CaO | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
