Northwest Africa 12903 (NWA 12903) Morocco Purchased: 2019 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~5) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Wei Jiang from a Moroccan dealer at the mineral show in Chenzhou in May, 2019?; sold to Ziyao Wang in Jun 2019. Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) Reddish brown stone of 133 g with little fusion crust. Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) brown recrystallized matrix with chondrules (av. 0.9 mm). Metal is completely and sulfide mostly oxidized. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.28 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~5, W4) Specimens: 20.8 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 45 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
