Loulan Yizhi 038 ~40°30’N, ~89°54’E Xinjiang, China Find: 2019 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~5) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Dongfang Deng in Shanshan/Xinjiang in 2019. This meteorite was discovered in the Loulanyizhi dense collection area in 2019. Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) flat stone of 313 g with some black fusion crust. Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) gray recrystallized matrix with chondrules (0.4 - 1.5, av. 0.9 mm), sulfide and metal. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 3.73 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~5, W2) Specimens: 22.5 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 49 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
