Caleta el Cobre 031 (CeC 031) 24°15’S, 70°31’S Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2018 Apr Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3) History: Found in the Atacama desert. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with well-delineated packed chondrules. Opaque are metal and troilite. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa24.7±2.7, range Fa18.9-29.5, Fa PMD 7% (n=8). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs19.5±6.8Wo0.5±0.1, range Fs12.9-35.8 (n=8). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3). Specimens: Type specimen and a polished section at CEREGE.
