Northwest Africa 13007 (NWA 13007) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2019 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL4) History: The meteorite was purchased from a meteorite dealer in Zagora, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Many brownish fragments without fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite displays a chondritic texture with slightly flattened chondrules (mean diameter about 0.8 mm) in a fine-grained greyish to brownish matrix that contains sulfides and rare FeNi metal. The meteorite is brecciated and contains black impact melt clasts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
