Chug Chug 089 22°29.23’S, 69°9.61’W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 17 Oct 2019 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3-5) Petrography: The meteorite is a breccia composed of angular clasts 1-1.5 cm in size in a fine-grained clastic host of chondrules, chondrule fragments and mineral grains. The clasts have sharp contacts with the host material. Both the clasts and the matrix contain mostly equilibrated material with minor unequilibrated chondrules and mineral grains. Geochemistry: Type 5 material: Olivine Fa18.1±0.2 (N=12), Pyroxene Fs16.1±0.3Wo1.2±0.2 (N=14). Type 3 material Fa15.1±7.5 (N=30, PMD Fa =38.5%), Pyroxene Fs12.8±8.0Wo1.0±0.8 (N=20). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
