Northwest Africa 13708 (NWA 13708) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2020 Apr Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) Physical characteristics: A single crusted stone. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with packed well-defined chondrules with average apparent diameter 960±450 µm (n=30). Opaque are metal and sulfides. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa21.2±11.8, range Fa2.7-33, Cr2O3 = 0.14±0.16 (n=9). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs14.7±8.3Wo0.7±0.6 (n=7). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3). LL group based on chondrule size and magnetic susceptibility. Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Kuntz. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
