Northwest Africa 13751 (NWA 13751) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5) History: Purchased in 2018 by Noreddine Azelmat from a meteorite dealer in Morocco. Physical characteristics: Single stone with dark-brown fusion crust. Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) Specimen is composed of few chondrules (700±200 μm, n=2) set in a fine-grained matrix containing secondary recrystallized feldspar (25±10 μm), chromite, troilite, kamacite, and Fe-oxides. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa24.7±0.8, range Fa23.4-26.5, n=26), Low-Ca Pyroxene (Fs20.8±0.6Wo1.5±0.2, range Fs19.9-21.8Wo1.3-1.9, n=10). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5). Specimens: 20.4 g at UCLA, main mass with Noreddine Azelmat. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
