Northwest Africa 13797 (NWA 13797) ~31°05’N, ~3°57’W Centre-South, Morocco Find: 2010 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~6) History: Discovered by Ait Kabboura Imad close to Merdane in 2010 Physical characteristics: One 385.3 g brown stone Petrography: Indistinct chondrules up to 1.2 mm set in a strongly recrystallized matrix poor in metallic components and rust filled cracks Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.21 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~6, W3) Specimens: 26.1 g on deposit at Kiel, Ait Kabboura Imad (Liege/B) holds the main mass, and 30 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
