Chug Chug 096        22°28.80’S, 69°7.75’W

Antofagasta, Chile

Find: 19 Oct 2019

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3)

Petrography: The meteorite has a brecciated texture with angular chondrite fragments of 0.5-3 cm in size. Olivine shows strong mosaicism and planar deformation features. Metal-troilite assemblages and silicate melt pockets are present. The breccia matrix is composed of chondrules and chondrule fragments, mineral grains and fine-grained clastic material.
