Adrar, Algeria

Purchased: 21 Mar 2020

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H4)

History: The meteorite was found east of the Erg Chech region in Algeria and subsequently acquired by the mass holder.

Physical characteristics: Brownish rock without fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite displays a chondritic texture with small, partly flattened chondrules (mean diameter about 0.3 mm) in a fine-grained dark matrix that contains sulfides and abundant FeNi metal.
