Purchased: 2019 Dec

Classification: Enstatite chondrite (EL6)

History: Purchased by Ziyao Wang in December 2019 from a dealer in Guelmim, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Rare RP chondrules occur within a mostly recrystallized assemblage of orthopyroxene plus kamacite together with accessory silica polymorph, graphite, Cr-troilite, oldhamite, and ferroan alabandite.

Geochemistry: Enstatite (Fs_0.2±0.2Wo_1.3±0.0, range Fs_0.1-0.4Wo_1.3, N = 4), plagioclase (Ab_81.1±0.1An_13.5±0.1Or_5.5±0.0, range Ab_81.0-81.2An_13.6-13.4Or_5.5, N = 2), kamacite (Ni = 7.3-7.4 wt.%, Si = 0.8±0.0 wt.%, N = 3).

Classification: Enstatite chondrite (EL6).

Specimens: 29.2 g including one polished thin section at UWB; remainder with Mr. Z. Wang.
