Missour 001 33°23’33.8"N, 3°54’11.4"W Morocco Find: 2021 Feb 2 Classification: Ureilite History: The meteorite was found on February 2, 2021m by the meteorite hunter Mohammed Bouzian west of Outat el Haj and subsequently purchased by the main mass holder. Physical characteristics: Three brownish fragments without fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite has olivine and pigeonite grains up to 1.5 mm in sizes. Olivine and pyroxene have characteristic reduced Mg-rich rims associated with FeNi-metal or graphite. The meteorite contains flaky graphite and abundant iron oxide veins. Geochemistry: Reduced rims in olivine: Fa5.1-6.2; olivine contains 0.77±0.09 wt% Cr2O3 and 0.38±0.04 wt% CaO; reduced rims in pyroxene: Fs3.7-5.6Wo8.6-10.5; pigeonite contains 1.26±0.03 wt% Cr2O3 and 0.77±0.04 wt% Al2O3 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
