Specimens: Main mass, one 1" epoxy mount and one thin section at MSP (MSP sample 8288)
Description: Petrography: medium to coarse grained rock with fairly recrystallized matrix. Main silicates are orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene and plagioclase. Minor quartz, chromite and Ca-merrillite. Rare troilite as small grains (size < 50 micron). No olivines observed. Metal plagues range from 200 to 2000 micron. Moderately wheathered. Modal analyses based on 8 EBS images: pyroxene 46.7 vol%, plagioclase 13.2 vol%, Fe-Ni alloy 25.4 vol%, phosphates 2.4 vol%, silica 2 vol%, wheathering products and other phases 10 vol%.
