Mdaouer 002 29°50’44"N, 6°55’47"W Morocco Find: 2020 Jan Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6, melt breccia) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Recrystallized chondritic clasts set in melt rock matrix. Opaque minerals are metal and troilite. Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6-melt breccia). Olivine and orthopyroxene compisition are in the overlap zone between L and LL chondrites, but the magnetic susceptibility, interpreted in the light of the weathering grade W2, favors an L classification.
