Writeup from MB 110:

Mdaouer 002        29°50’44"N, 6°55’47"W

Morocco

Find: 2020 Jan

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6, melt breccia)

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Recrystallized chondritic clasts set in melt rock matrix. Opaque minerals are metal and troilite.

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6-melt breccia). Olivine and orthopyroxene compisition are in the overlap zone between L and LL chondrites, but the magnetic susceptibility, interpreted in the light of the weathering grade W2, favors an L classification.

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Jérémy Bassemon
