Northwest Africa 14335 (NWA 14335)

Purchased: 2021 Jun

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H4)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorite hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, in June, 2021.

Physical characteristics: Brownish slightly reddish rock without fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows a chondritic texture with well-defined, mostly rounded, separated chondrules (apparent mean diameter about 0.4 mm) set in a light reddish matrix containing abundant and strongly altered metal and sulfides.
