Purchased: 2021 Jun

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CH3)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a meteorite dealer in Talsint, Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Brownish rock partly covered with fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite is an metal-rich carbonacous chondrite composed of very small chondrules, chondrule and mineral fragments, CAIs and abundant FeNi metal grains (about 20 vol%) set in sparse fine-grained matrix. Chondrules have an apparent mean diameter of about 50 µm with the smaller ones typically being cryptocrystalline or microporphyritic. The meteorite contains distinct C1/2-like matrix lumps.

Geochemistry: olivine: Fa_14.9±12.0(Fa_0.6-38.7, n=26); low-Ca pyroxene: Fs_7.8±3.4Wo_0.8±0.3(Fs_3.7-12.7Wo_0.5-1.6, n=15); diopside: Fs_2.4±0.1Wo_47.0±0.2(Fs_2.3-2.5Wo_46.8-47.2, n=3); kamacite (all wt.%): Ni=5.7±0.9, Cr=0.38±0.04 , Co=0.26±0.01, P=0.22±0.08, n=7
