Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H5)

History: The meteorite was found in March 26, 2021, on a surface of stony carbonate desert near Calama, Chile, by Mr. I. Chaplygin during a systematic search for meteorites. The meteorite was half buried in a soil.

Physical characteristics: Physical properties: One rounded stone of 24 kg is nearly covered by a black fusion crust with only few chippings. A stone has broad regmaglypts. The buried part o the stone is covered by a light-colored carbonate material and somewhere rusty.

Petrography: (C. A. Lorenz, Vernad) The meteorite composes of chondrules, chondrule and mineral fragments and granular recrystallized matrix matrix. Chondrules of 160-1600 µm (average 567 µm) in diameter are poorly outlined. Chondrules of PO, RO, BO, BOP, POP, PP are most present. Main phases are olivine, pyroxene, feldspar, Fe,Ni iron; minor ones are troilite, chromite and merrillite. Olivine demonstrates weak undulatory extinction. Minor Fe,Ni-hydroxides partly replace the metal grains and form thin veinlets in the near-surface part of the meteorite.

Geochemistry: Mineral compositions and geochemistry: (S. E. Borisovsky, IGEM, EMP) Olivine Fa 18.4±0.3 (N=10); pyroxene Fs15.6±0.2Wo1.16±0.3 (N=10).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H5), shock stage is S2, weathering is W1.

Specimens: Type specimen of 43.9 g and thin polished section are on deposit at Vernad. Mr. I. Chaplygin holds the main mass.
