Northwest Africa 14326 (NWA 14326) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2021 Classification: Ureilite History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorites hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, in 2021. Physical characteristics: Dark brownish rock without fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite exhibits a granular texture of up to 1.5 mm partly euhedral olivine and pigeonite crystal often adjoining at triple grain junction. Olivine displays characteristic reduced rims and the meteorite contains flaky graphite. Geochemistry: reduced rims in olivine: Fa3.5-5.2; olivine contains 0.53±0.03 wt% Cr2O3 and 0.29±0.01 wt% CaO; pigeonite contains 1.15±0.04 wt% Cr2O3 and 1.28±0.06 wt% Al2O3 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
