Northwest Africa 14478 (NWA 14478)

Purchased: 2021 Sept

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL4)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorites hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, in September, 2021.

Physical characteristics: Two brownish fragments with some fusion crut.

Petrography: Ordinary chondrite with clearly defined, flattened and well packed chondrules (mean diameter about 0.9 mm) in a more fine-grained light brownish matrix that contains sulfides and rare FeNi metal.
