Purchased: January 2021

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite)

History: The meteorite was purchased by Adrián Contreras Gómez in Tinduf, Argelia, in January 2021.

Petrography: Breccia of lithic clasts in a fine-grained matrix dominated by exsolved pyroxene and polycrystalline calcic plagioclase. Melt rock clasts and shock veins are common. Accessories include silica, chromite, and troilite.

Geochemistry: Low-Ca pyroxene Fs36.5-48.2Wo0.9-3.4 (FeO/MnO=28-32, n=13); High-Ca pyroxene Fs17.5-30.2Wo28.8-44.3 (FeO/MnO=26-31, n=11); Plagioclase An83.3-94.5 (n=16).
