(Northwest Africa)

Purchased: 2021

Classification: Lunar meteorite (melt breccia)

Petrography: (K. Metzler, IfP) Achondritic breccia, consisting of lithic clasts (up to 10 mm) and mineral fragments (plagioclase, Ca-poor and Ca-rich pyroxenes, and olivine) set in a partly vesicular crystallized melt. Lithic clast are mainly subrounded fragments of clast-rich melt brecias. Accessories are ilmenite and troilite.
