Northwest Africa 14532 (NWA 14532) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2021 Aug Classification: Lunar meteorite (feldspathic breccia) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Igneous rock made of mineral and melt rock lithic clasts set in a feldspathic glassy matrix with abundant vacuoles to 200 µm. Ilmenite and metal are present. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa26.3±3.0, FeO/MnO = 108.5±15.5 (n=4). Pyroxene Fs31.9±1.0Wo8.4±2.7, FeO/MnO = 51.8±3.5 (n=3). Plagioclase An95.1Ab4.4Or0.5 (n=3). Classification: Lunar meteorite (Feldspathic breccia) Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Kuntz. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
