Errachidia 007 31°52.9748’N, 4°59.0661’W Centre-South, Morocco Find: 2009 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5) History: Many stones were found and collected in the desert region close to the Tizert copper deposit in 2009 by a desert nomad. Subsequently, this material was purchased in 2020 by Mustapha Oulkouch. Physical characteristics: Many fragments and individual stones with slightly weathered fusion crust. Petrography: (D. Sheikh, Cascadia) Sample is composed of chondrules (~0.6 mm) set within a fine-grained matrix containing Fe-Ni metal, troilite, chlorapatite, and secondary recrystallized feldspar (~15 μm). Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.0±0.3, range Fa24.3-25.6, n=22), Low-Ca Pyroxene (Fs21.0±0.5Wo0.7±0.3, range Fs20.4-22.3Wo0.3-1.4, n=23). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5). Specimens: 60.4 g at Cascadia, main mass with Mustapha Oulkouch. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
