Centre-South, Morocco

Find: 2021 Mar

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3)

History: Found by Mohamed Ahnsal in the Bohyara Ait Ysfoul area in March 2021. Bought by Jean Redelsperger from Zaid Oualguirah in 2021.

Physical characteristics: A single dark brown stone without fusion crust.

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with packed and well-delineated chondrules. Olivine is zoned. Opaque minerals are metal and troilite.

Geochemistry: Olivine Fa21.6±75, range Fa5.3-32.0, Fa PMD 28%, Cr2O3 0.09±0.10 wt% (n=13). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs14.2±7.1Wo1.1±0.9, range Fs3.0-23.2 (n=9).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3). L group from magnetic susceptibility.

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Jean Redelsperger.
