Mdaouer 003 29°56’46"N, 6°58’19"W South, Morocco Find: 2021 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Unequilibrated chondrite with packed chondrules. Opaque minerals (metal and troilite) are essentially replaced by terrestrial weathering products. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa23.7±10.3, range Fa7.9-38.5, Fa PMD 38%, Cr2O3 0.029±0.055 wt% (n=9). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs15.4±6.6Wo2.3±2.1, range Fs10.3-29.0 (n=7). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3). L group based on average Fa content of olivine and magnetic susceptibility. Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Jérémy Bassemon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
