Northwest Africa 15082 (NWA 15082) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2022 Mar Classification: Pallasite History: Purchased by Shun-Chun Yang and Juan Chen in March 2022 from a dealer in Ouarzazate, Morocco. Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Composed predominantly of olivine and metal (both kamacite and taenite) with accessory schreibersite and merrillite. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa13.2-13.4, N = 3), kamacite (Ni 5.2-7.0 wt.%, N = 2), taenite (Ni 32.9-38.2 wt.%, N = 2). Classification: Pallasite. Specimens: 21.2 g including a polished mount at UWB; remainder with Mr. S.-C. Yang. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
