Northwest Africa 14828 (NWA 14828) Morocco Find: 2015 Oct Classification: LL3-7 Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Brecciated ordinary chondrite with several shock darkened clasts and type 7 clasts to 5 mm in size, set in a type 3 host lithology. The type 7 clasts show triple junctions, typical grain size ~100 μm, and no relict chondrules. Geochemistry: Type 3 host lithology: Olivine Fa27.2±2.1, range Fa24.1-29.7, Fa PMD 6.5% (n=4), low-Ca pyroxene Fs12.7±6.3Wo1.9±2.0, range Fs5.8-24.4 (n=6). Type 7 lithology: Olivine Fa30.4 (n=1), orthopyroxene Fs25.6±0.3Wo2.0±0.1 (n=3), Ca-pyroxene Fs14.7Wo43.1 (n=1). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3-7). Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE.
