Northwest Africa 15134 (NWA 15134)

Purchased: 2021 Mar

Classification: Pallasite

History: Purchased by Shun-Chung Yang in March 2021 from a dealer in Tindouf, Algeria.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Composed of subequal proportions of olivine and stained metal (both kamacite and taenite).

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa11.8-11.9, N = 4), kamacite (Ni 7.2 wt.%), taenite (Ni 37.7 wt.%).

Classification: Pallasite.

Specimens: 7.2 g including a polished mount at UWB; remainder with Mr. S.-C. Yang.
