Northwest Africa 15692 (NWA 15692)

Tombouctou, Mali

Purchased: 2022

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5)

History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Wei Jiang from Aziz Habibi in Erfoud, Morocco 2022.

Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) yellow and brownish colored porous oval stone of 49kg

Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) Heavily altered porous chondritic clasts with gray chondrules (0.3-1.5 mm) set in a brown weathered matrix with few relict metal and sulfide grains.

Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) LogX = 4.77

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5, W5)

Specimens: 37.1 g on deposit at Kiel, Wei Jiang holds the main mass, and 219 g with Bart
