Northwest Africa 15748 (NWA 15748) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2022 Oct Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK3) Physical characteristics: A single stone without fusion crust Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with large chondrule set in an abundant matrix. Opaque minerals: abundant magnetite, rare sulfides, no metal. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa23.2±12.6, rage Fa7.5-38.9, NiO 0.33±0.16 (n=9). Pyroxene Fs1.6Wo4.6, Fs1.8Wo35.3. Magnetite Cr2O3 2.46±0.14 wt% (n=3).
