Physical characteristics: Grayish rock partly covered with fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite displays a dark grayish interior and is composed of separated and well-defined mostly rounded chondrules (apparent mean diameter about 750 µm) set in a fine-grained matrix dominated by ferroan Ni-bearing olivine. Olivine is compositionaly equilibrated, low-Ca pyroxene unequilibrated. Less abundant phases include Ca-pyroxene, intermediate plagioclase, and minor FeS. Cr-bearing magnetite is abundant; metal was not detected. Geochemistry: olivine: Fa29.4±0.3 (Fa28.7-29.8, FeO/MnO=105±7; NiO: 0.46±0.06 wt%, n=10); low-Ca pyroxene: Fs18.9±4.4Wo0.8±0.1 (Fs7.2-23.9Wo0.6-0.9, n=15); diopside: Fs16.1±2.0Wo48.1±1.5 (Fs12.2-19.5Wo45.0-49.4, n=10); feldspar: An30.7-77.6Ab22.0-62.6Or0.4.3.6, n=12; magnetite contains 4.3±0.1 wt% Cr2O3, n=5 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
