Alatage Mountain 048 (AM 048) 41°56’27.97"N, 92°39’9.06"E Xinjiang, China Find: 2015 Nov 15 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6) History: (Ziyao Wang) Discovered by Airula Simayi in the desert near Hami Alatage Mountain, Xinjiang, on 15 Nov 2015, Airula·Simayi sold to Xu Hao 52 kg in Mar, 2023. Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) A large gray black stone of 128 kg with many very deep cracks penetratiing from the surface, disintegrate the stone into many parts. Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) gray strong recrystallized matrix with poor defined chondrules and few fine grained metal and sulfide. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.76 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6, W2) Specimens: 21.4 g on deposit at UGött, main mass with Xu Hao, 48 kg with Airula·Simayi, 105 g with Bart | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
