Purchased: 2021 Nov

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, melt breccia)

Physical characteristics: One irregular stone

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Breccia with lithic clasts to 1.5 mm set in a recrystallized, microvesicular melt rock matrix. Lithic clasts have a variety of textures: poikilitic, subophitic (grain size 1 mm), and melt rock clasts. Main minerals are exsolved pyroxene and plagioclase. Opaque minerals are Fe-oxides and pyrrhotite. No metal was observed?

Geochemistry: Pyroxene Fs_56.7±1.6Wo_7.7±2.4, FeO/MnO=32.9±1.0 (n=3), Ca-pyroxene exsolution Fs_27.2Wo_43.2, FeO/MnO=33.8 (n=1). Plagioclase An_87.7±2.0Ab_11.9±1.8Or_0.4±0.2(n=2).
