Find: 2023 Nov 22

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3)

History: Four stones were found on Nov 22, 2023. They were purchased by William Sanchez from Naji Charabara in Morocco in 2023.

Physical characteristics: Four dark brown and partially crusted stones with masses 1042, 793, 380, and 292 g. The type specimen was cut from the 293 g stone. The crusted surfaces show well developed flow lines and regmaglypts. Chondrules and cm-sized clasts are visible on the non crusted surfaces.

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with packed chondrules with average apparent diameter 660±380 µm (n=42) set in a fine-grained matrix. Chondrule mesostasis is devitrified. Dusty olive are present. Opaque minerals are metal and troilite.

Geochemistry: Olivine Fa20.9±8.2, range Fa5.0-35.1, Fa PMD 32% (n=12). Cr2O3 in ferroan olivine 0.091±0.049 wt% (n=11). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs11.0±6.8Wo0.64±0.41, range Fs2.0-24.2 (n=9).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3). Estimated subtype 3.2/3.3 based on the Cr2O3 content of ferroan olivine and Fa PMD.

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with William Sanchez.
