Calate 047 -21.546183, -69.666883 Antofagasta, Chile Find: Nov 2023 Classification: Primitive achondrite (Winonaite) History: The meteorite (1 piece) was found in November 2023 by Victor Gekimyants during a meteorite searching expedition organized by Timur Kryachko. Physical characteristics: Total mass is about 0.8 g. The surface is dark brown with whitish caliche, whereas the interior of the meteorite is brown. Petrography: Petrographic observation of the polished section show Low-Ca pyroxene is the most abundant mineral phase and poikilitically enclose small grains of olivine, high-Ca pyroxene, feldspar and flouredenite plus minor schreibersite. Troilite predominantly occur as veins. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa1.76±0.14 (N=19), Low-Ca pyroxene Fs1.9±0.3Wo1.48±0.07 (N=24), high-Ca pyroxene Fs0.9±0.2Wo43.49±1.97 (N=18), plagioclase Ab80.7An17.2Or2.1, fluoredenite (Na2O = 4.40 wt.%, F = 5.26 wt.%, N=4) Classification: (Kseniya A.
