Macroscopic Description: Kathleen McBride The exterior of this achondrite has smooth black fusion crust with polygonal fractures and oxidation haloes. The interior is a steel gray in color with numerous dark clasts approximately 1 mm in size. This meteorite is very soft and friable with some rust present.
Thin Section (,2) Description: Brian Mason The section shows an aggregate of anhedral olivine and pyroxene grains, up to 2 mm across, in a black carbonaceous matrix which contains trace amounts of nickel-iron and troilite. The meteorite appears to be relatively unshocked. Olivine composition is somewhat variable, Fa16-21; pyroxene composition is Wo10Fs18. The meteorite is a ureilite.
