Los Vientos 308 (LoV 308) 24°42.346’S, 69°54.996’W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2017 Feb 20 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3-5) History: Found on a plain by a six-person team. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca) Brecciated ordinary chondrite with type 5 clasts and shock darkened clasts set in a type 3 host lithology. Geochemistry: Type 3 host lithology: Fa19.0±2.3, Fa PMD 9%, Cr2O3 0.07±0.09 wt% (n=6), low-Ca pyroxene Fs12.9±5.4Wo0.6±0.3 (n=5). Type 5 clasts: olivine Fa19.4 (n=1), orthopyroxene Fs17.7Wo1.0 (n=1). Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Thomas Kurtz. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
