Purchased: 2007

Classification: Primitive achondrite (Winonaite)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Erfoud, Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Brownish fragment with some fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows an equilibrated texture of typically 50 to 200 µm sized Mg-rich olivine, enstatite, augite, and sodic plagioclase grains. Triple junctions with 120° grain boundaries are abundant. Minor phases include chlorapatite, troilite and strongly altered FeNi metal.

Geochemistry: olivine: Fa_4.1±0.1(Fa_4.1-4.2, FeO/MnO=22±3, n=5); low-Ca pyroxene: Fs_5.3±0.3Wo_1.5±0.1(Fs_4.7-5.6Wo_1.4-1.6, FeO/MnO=18±3, n=5); Ca-pyroxene: Fs_2.3±0.1Wo_45.1±0.2(Fs_2.1-2.3Wo_44.8-45.3, FeO/MnO=15±2, n=5); feldspar: An_2.3±1.9Ab_94.1±1.7Or_3.6±0.4, n=12
