Northwest Africa 13817 (NWA 13817) ~31°15’N, ~4°30’W Morocco Find: 2015 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~6) History: Discovered by Ait Kabboura Imad close to Taguerount in 2015 Physical characteristics: One red-brown fragment of 7.8 g Petrography: Indistinct chondrules of 0.5-2 mm set in a brown stainted recrystallized matrix with few metal and sulfide specks Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.18 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL~6, W3) Specimens: 1.67 g on deposit at Kiel, Ait Kabboura Imad (Liege/B) holds the main mass, and 0.7 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
