Northwest Africa 13892 (NWA 13892) Morocco Purchased: 2019 Classification: Lunar meteorite (melt breccia) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Fayssal Mezgouri in Agadir, Morocco, Nov 2019. Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) 46 g of yellowish brown flat stone without fusion crust Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) Breccia of flow aligned mineral fragments (anorthite, olivine) and lithic clasts (anorthositic troctolite, anorthosite) in a very fine grained melt matrix. Geochemistry: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart, P. Appel and B. Mader, Kiel) Olivine Fa29.2-39.1 (Fe/Mn 73-105; n=14); anorthite An96.1-97.8Or<0.2 (n=13). Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 2.41 Classification: lunar meteorite (melt breccia) Specimens: 9.53 g on deposit at IfP, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 4 g with Bart.
