Northwest Africa 7632 (NWA 7632) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Sep Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3) History: Purchased by Ralew in September 2012 from a dealer in Midelt, Morocco. Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Small chondrules with tiny (<0.4 mm) CAI and mineral fragments in a fairly sparse matrix. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa0.3-49.6; Cr2O3 in ferroan examples = 0.03-0.08 wt.%, mean 0.06, s.d. 0.02, N = 6), orthopyroxene (Fs0.8Wo1.0; Fs53.7Wo1.9), clinopyroxene (Fs2.0Wo43.0; Fs5.8Wo38.8), diopside (Fs0.2Wo50.3).
