Macroscopic Description - Curtis Calva

Fusion crust is dark brown with cracks. Exposed interior is dark brown to black with light colored spots less than 1 mm and brown spots less than 2 mm. The interior is black with light colored spots less than 1 mm.

Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy

The sections consist of abundant small (up to 1 mm) chondrules, chondrule fragments and mineral grains in a dark matrix. Metal and sulfide occur within and rimming the chondrules. Olivine ranges in composition from Fa_1-45. Three pyroxene analyses range from Fs_1-7. The meteorites are CO3 chondrites.
