Macroscopic Description - Kathleen McBride
Brown/black fusion crust with polygonal fractures covers 50% of the exterior of this carbonaceous chondrite. The exposed exterior is dark brown with no inclusions visible to the naked eye.
Thin Section (,2) Description - Cari Corrigan, Linda Welzenbach and Nicole Lunning
This meteorite section consists of numerous, small, highly-altered chondrules and matrix with rare carbonates and few unaltered mafic silicates. Chondrule outlines are distinct, despite the extensive alteration. Olivine analyses are Fa0-43. No pyroxenes were available to measure. The meteorite is a CM1-2 chondrite.
