Northwest Africa 14235 (NWA 14235) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2019 June Classification: Enstatite chondrite (EL melt rock) History: The meteorite was purchased from a meteorite dealer in Talsint, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Dark brownish rock with some fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite is an enstatite melt rock predominantly composed of 50-400 µm sized enstatite grains and abundant interspearsed albitic, Si-rich melt inclusions. Opaque phases include Si-bearing kamacite, Cr-rich troilite, schreibersite, and daubréelite. No relict chondrules have been observed.
