A-881461 Eucrite The PTS (51-1) is a coarse-grained (~2 mm) gabbro composed of pyroxene and plagioclase. Pigeonite is partly inverted into orthopyroxene. It is highly shocked: parts of plagioclase are converted into maskelynite. Pyroxene has a composition of En37Wo2 and En29Wo44 and a FeO/MnO of ~30. Plagioclase has a composition of An89.5-92Or0.2-0.4. | ||||||||||||||||
