Northwest Africa 7571 (NWA 7571)

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict)

Petrography: The gray rock consists of basaltic and melt clast set in a fine-grained clastic matrix of dominantly calcic plagioclase and exsolved pyroxene. SiO2 polymorphs are quite abundant. Accessories include chromite, troilite and rare FeNi metal.

Geochemistry: opx: Fs26.5-59.1Wo1.4-4.6; FeO/MnO=28-37; cpx: Fs17.8-25.6Wo39.1-43.3; FeO/MnO=25-31
