Northwest Africa 7571 (NWA 7571) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict) Petrography: The gray rock consists of basaltic and melt clast set in a fine-grained clastic matrix of dominantly calcic plagioclase and exsolved pyroxene. SiO2 polymorphs are quite abundant. Accessories include chromite, troilite and rare FeNi metal.
