Northwest Africa 7747 (NWA 7747) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict) Petrography: The grayish meteorite consists of basaltic and rare dark melt clasts set into a fine-grained clastic matrix of dominantly calcic plagioclase and exsolved pyroxene. Accessories include chromite, troilite and SiO2 polymorphs.
