Macroscopic Description - Kellye Pando

Exterior has patches of dark brown-gray fusion crust that is shiny in some areas and rough in others and has flow lines. Exposed interior is light gray with black and white flecks <0.25 mm. Fresh interior is similar to the exposed areas but the flecks are shades of gray rather than black and white.

Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy

These two brecciated sections consist of fine to medium grained ophitic basalts with apparent shock darkening as veins and patches. Modest iron oxide staining exists in both sections. One 6 mm (max dimension) clast in DOM 18291 exhibits a fine grained, granular texture. Pyroxenes are Fs_26-60Wo_2-44 and feldspars are An_82-86Or₁. These two meteorites are similar enough to consider pairing and are eucrites.
